Nurturing, Personalized day care

The Little School offers learning and care for infants, toddlers & preschoolers year-round (7:30 am - 5:30 pm).

We believe that small group sizes and low teacher/child ratios are the only way to fully nurture a child's interests.  One-on-one attention enables play and learning to be one and the same. We cultivate students' natural curiosity through art, music, language, gardening, science, yoga and more.

Gardens, Gazebos & Sunlight

From summertime sprinklers to cozy book nooks, we offer a safe, warm environment.  Caring for nature and friends is thoughtfully built into every aspect of our curriculum and space. Students chase butterflies and grow vegetables. They run down garden paths with rainbow streamers.  They gather at circle time to sing, share and learn.

Learning to Be a Friend

We help students develop respect for themselves and respect for others. Children refer to their classmates as friends, and every day we practice being helpful, kind and sharing. Because our school is so small, teachers have the time and space to help children learn how to be great playmates and friends.
